
Saxony Partners’ Annual Back-to-School Drive Ends with Record Donations
DALLAS – The annual Saxony Partners back-to-school drive netted $2,248 worth of supplies for Dallas-area students.
“Community service is a big part of our culture,” said Kevin Tran, a senior manager at Saxony who coordinated the drive. “Our annual, service-based events give us a chance to bring the entire company together and make a unified contribution to the local community.”
The supplies will be delivered to Community Partners of Dallas on Monday, August 20, the same day that students report to Dallas Independent School District classrooms.
Per person, the donations averaged nearly $40 per employee.
All told, the pile contains:
• 2,700 index cards
• 58 pen/pencil pouches
• 506 ink pens
• 11 pencil sharpeners
• 450 No. 2 pencils
• 696 colored pencils
• 62 erasers
• 104 highlighters
• 230 markers
• 200 crayons
• 9 calculators
• 32 backpacks
• 92 notebooks
• 40 composition books
• 2 protractors
• 50 glue sticks
• 17 glue bottles
• 15 binders
• 56 dividers
• 24 pairs of scissors
• 33 folders
• 18 packages of construction paper
• 3,096 inches of rulers (258, to be precise)
